マイクロソフトは、アメリカ・サンフランシスコにて開催中のゲーム開発者向けの国際カンファレンス“ゲーム・デベロッパーズ・カンファレンス”（GDC）にて、コードネーム“Project Helix”こと、次世代Xboxの詳細を発表した。

「DLSS」はこれまで、超解像技術やフレーム生成により、映像品質を維持しつつもフレームレートを高めるための技術だった。「DLSS 5」では映像自体のクオリティを高めることを主軸に置いた新機能となっている。NVIDIAは『2018年のリアルタイムレイトレーシングの登場以来、コンピューターグラフィックスにおける最も重要なブレークスルーとなる』と意気込んでいる。「DLSS 5」は2026年秋に登場予定。
