Sculpting a winter gnome with Model Magic is the kind of project that feels like instant cozy season. Today’s video is all about building the pieces you need to assemble your gnome tomorrow, so think hat, nose, body, boots, and all the little details that make it adorable. If you’re teaching this in an art room or making it at home, here’s the plan. Sculpt the parts now, let them dry, then come back for the glow up. Here’s a timelapse for sculpting Adam to go with Barbara - for both of their heads I used Crayola Model Magic over a styrofoam wig head! The Model Magic has a sponginess to it that made it perfect for pressing in deep grooves to achieve the wrinkles of their faces. I sculpted them each in one sitting, and coated them with Epoxy when they were dry so that they could be displayed outside for Halloween.
