Have you seen the new driver license? In August, DPS rolled out a new design for Texas driver license and identification cards. These new cards feature: ✅ A black, laser-engraved star in the upper right corner to indicate REAL ID compliance; ✅ Tamper-resistant polycarbonate material that is difficult to reproduce and compliant with American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) standard; and ✅ Reorganized personal information that is displayed in a clear, easy-to-read format.
