This male rock python (Python natalensis) came to FFW on 29 June via NSPCA’s inspector Mpho Mokoena, who confiscated him from a Sangoma where he was being kept for muti trade. The python came to us with a head wound and was dehydrated and starving. He was diligently cared for by Jamie and Meg, his head wound was treated, and he was given nice warm (supervised!) soaks to help the healing and to ensure that he would be able to do a complete shed and have healthy tissue underneath the wound.
