Ravens belong to the Corvid family — a group of birds known for their intelligence and problem solving skills. We gave our northern raven Poe this puzzle toy with pieces of food stuffed into the tubes. Poe knew he had to spin the tubes to get the food out. When he realized the tubes wouldn’t spin he started digging the sand out from underneath them until he was able to move them. He doesn’t get the food in this video because he was spinning the tubes too quickly but he figured that part out late
